Geotechnical Engineer

## About the Role Langan is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its New York or New Jersey office. This role supports Langan's geotechnical practice on major urban development, infrastructure, and environmental projects across the tri-state area. ## Responsibilities - Plan and execute geotechnical investigations including borings, monitoring wells, and lab testing - Perform geotechnical analysis for foundations, retaining structures, and earth systems - Prepare geotechnical reports and design recommendations - Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams - Support construction monitoring and provide field engineering judgment ## Qualifications **Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology - 3–8 years of geotechnical engineering experience - Familiarity with urban geotechnical challenges (deep foundations, soft soils, dewatering) **Preferred:** - PE license - Experience with NYC or NJ DOT permitting and regulatory frameworks - Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio) ## About Langan Langan attracts and retains the best geotechnical talent in the industry, offering a collaborative environment and exposure to some of the most complex urban development projects in North America.
