Structural Engineer

## About the Role Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Structural Engineer for its Renewal practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role focuses on evaluation, repair, and renovation of existing structures — including buildings, parking structures, and infrastructure — across a diverse range of project types. ## Responsibilities - Perform structural analysis and design for renovation and rehabilitation projects - Conduct field investigations and condition assessments of existing structures - Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications - Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers - Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery ## Qualifications **Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering - 3–7 years of structural engineering experience - Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent) - Strong written and verbal communication skills **Preferred:** - PE license or active pursuit - Experience with existing building assessment and forensic engineering - Familiarity with ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards ## About Thornton Tomasetti Thornton Tomasetti applies engineering and scientific principles to solve the world's challenges.
