## About the Role
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is seeking an Architectural Designer to join its New York studio. SOM is a global practice of architects, designers, engineers, and planners responsible for some of the world's most technically and environmentally advanced buildings.
## Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and produce technical documentation across project phases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, and urban design
- Produce presentations, renderings, and construction documents
- Contribute to a wide range of international projects from the New York studio
- Support project delivery from schematic design through construction administration
## Qualifications
**Required:**
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- 2–5 years of professional experience at an architecture firm
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong graphic communication and presentation skills
**Preferred:**
- Experience with large-scale commercial, civic, or mixed-use projects
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED
- International project experience a plus
